Warm hearts.

Edda’s pancake breakfast was held yesterday.  She’s 11 this year and this is our third annual birthday bash.  Jeremy tallied the ingredients: 64 eggs, 8 pounds of butter, 22 pounds of bacon.  There was more, but I can’t remember.

Jeremy invested in capital equipment this year and bought our own chafing dish.

Vince and his friends helped out to keep the coffee going.  My mother was the bacon-master. She cooked every strip of the 22 pounds of bacon that everyone ate.

It was wonderful.  It’s nice to see so many people come by and hug us and hug Edda and wish her the happiest of birthdays.  I am so thankful for all the help and support.  Happy birthday Edda!  Pancakes ever more.

  1. Only you can make a bowl of eggshells look good in a photo! Happy day to you dear good mom of sweet Edda.

  2. Rena likes to buy clothes for her grand kids. She took several trips to get the birthday clothes for Edda and, of course, Vincent's pants.

    They look pretty nice.

  3. Mrs. Lee did an excellent job selecting Edda's dress. She looks gorgeous!!!! I am so bummed we had to miss it AGAIN this year. Hugs to beautiful Edda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
