Donald, Mom told me about options you are considering. That is very good. Here are a couple of my thought on this. They may be out of cohesiveness.
1) Very good
2) Don’t plan & think too much. Just go ahead do it.
3) Do them simultaneously, not sequentially.
4) The easiest way and best bet are still in your main field. Keep looking intensively and smile a lot. Try to get back to your field with concessions.
5) Looking in your field can be done parallelly with other options.

I believe my mind is open. It’s open to believing that life is more than having money and being unhappy. My mind is open to the possibilities that I can enjoy my life and enjoy my work. My mind is open to the fact that yes, I can take a computer science job and be miserable. My mind is open that yes, I can be miserable and smile and keep my head but, but still be miserable even while I’m smiling and keeping my head up. My mind is open to the fact that your opinion is that I should be miserable yet smile about being miserable. My mind understands that you want me to be unhappy.

Sorry, you feel that we are not helping at all. But, how could we, if there was no communication? Just don’t know “how to”, let alone solutions.
Well, just let you know, you are absolute right on one important thing. Money isn’t everything. I have enough of it but very, very miserable but I still smile a lot. As you said, I am smiling about being not just miserable but very, very miserable indeed.
