Popcorn, parties and plates.

Dani’s parents gave us fancy popcorn of all different varieties so I was keen to try them out – taste test of sorts.

We brought out our popcorn popper which is always in danger of being decluttered, but it was not decluttered! We were ready to have lunch with a side of popcorn.

We spent the weekend celebrating with our friends. Jeremy made a beautiful three-layer lemon/raspberry cake for Ginny’s baby shower on Saturday.

He did a super great job on it. So professional!

We had to leave before trying the cake! Gah! It’s OK. Lots of people make cake that they don’t get to eat.

We went from one party to the next where we celebrated my father’s 83rd birthday. A little early, we are not going to be in town for Christmas (his birthday), so we celebrated Saturday night. We got an apple pie and banana cream pie as dessert.

Sunday, we sold our minivan. We sold it to our friend Tom who needed the accessible chair more than we did (we manage Edda pretty well in a regular sedan). We took off our beloved personalized plates and I returned them to the DMV this morning. And then I cancelled the insurance on it and I also took Vince off our insurance policy. We had left him on it because sometimes he came home for summers and/or the holidays but this holiday season will mark over a year since he’s been home! Yikes. It’s as if he doesn’t live here anymore.
