The day after.

Yesterday was stressful – lots of meetings, one of which I ran in the early evening and ended at 8:30 pm. I didn’t manage to find time to exercise, which is always a bummer, but I find social interaction to be, always, a bit of a workout and drains me in similar ways in which I need to do some recovery. Jeremy and I went to bed early-ish, I think Jeremy was purposefully not checking any of the election returns. I woke up (you can see the time on the screen shot) and it was such a relief to see the good news. And then as I was trying to fall asleep again, I heard Edda have a seizure in her bedroom which Jeremy deemed “a normal one”. Fingers crossed this is a one off. She’s at camp, so far so good.

Kimchi also went home yesterday – she is a very sweet dog- there is not a bad or vicious bone in her body -, but she’s high strung and high maintenance. And she and Elka get into daily tug-of-wars which both enjoy immensely, but it’s very loud with growling and barking and chasing and every single stuffy that I collected from thrift stores all over the area was de-stuffed and the innards were all over the entire house. Now I have to go find more stuffys.

On Sunday, I went to Wheel of the Year celebration of Samhain which is when the boundary between this world and the afterlife is the thinnest as we head into this dark season. So we can talk to our ancestors and honor the dead. We can also have a bonfire and eat s’mores. I obviously need a cape.
