Just cold today in Montreal. Vince and I went up Mont-Royal. He took off his shoes and mittens every chance he got. Had lunch from this takeout salad place and spent the rest of the day napping and watching TV. Jeremy disccovered that being a little tipsy helps with the networking at the conference. Ha!
Year: 2003
Ugh, very rainy and cold today in Montreal. Vince and I spent some time walking the underground. We ordered weird dumpling that they serve in a soup of peanut sauce. For dinner, we went to the Movenpick. Vince had a great time and we had a fun time picking out dinner by strolling around this massive restaurant.
Drove to Montreal today. Spent the first few hours of the day in a whirlwind trying to clean the house up so I don’t have to return to a filthy house. Started off at 11 am. Not bad really. Dropped off Ruby leash at the Martins (Vince fell asleep as soon as we pulled into Bard). Ate at Bob’s Big Boy at the rest stop. Played for 40 minutes in Plattsburg at a neighborhood playground. Montreal is rainy and cold. We ate at a Lebanese place in an almost empty fast food joint in the underground mall. Vince was going crazy in the mall.
Went to the bookstore this morning and spent, spent, spent. Gheez! What a few books can cost. Vince was absolutely neurotic about the train set at B and N. Then we went to the Morse house where the lady of the house had a dog cematery. Jeremy had his first cup of coffee in a month and he is feeling great!
Heard the heartbeat on Thursday evening. The midwife said she heard movement too, so now I’m a little less concerned about not yet feeling the baby move. Today we went to get some maternity clothes in the morning and then in the afternoon, we hung out with Asuka and Carrie and fed them some lunch and went hiking on the rail trail. It was a beautiful brisk afternoonl This evening we tried Paul Newman’s new vodka sauce on our ravioli. Yummy!
Spent 4 hours in the sun this afternoon with Vince. Went to see Eileen, went to the student center to watch Cartoon Network and then hung out at the construction site.
The Trollope dinner was a bust. Katherine caught a cold. We went to the Dutchess Land Conservancy tour and it was really a lot of fun. Expecially the first on we went to with the terrier racing, the Devon cows and chickens. Vince woke up at 4 amd and then went to sleep again until 10 am so he was in top form at the first farm saying hello to one and all.
Did a Walmart run today including Bob the Builder Knight of Fix-a-lot. I’m very excited to see it. Went to Adams. Spent about 1.5 hours at the park and met Bob, Kiki, Trudy and Julia there! Had Julia over for dinner while Bob and Kiki went to a Trollope dinner in CT. Very nice!
We drove to Bard early Wed. morning and of course, of course, Vince fell asleep. So I dropped Ruby off and we went to Target. I woke him up and did 89 dollars worth of shopping there. Whew. After that we went to Eileen’s office and spent the afternoon in the student center or asleep in the car. Jeremy’s tutoring is going well, Eileen didn’t come over, so it wasn’t very exciting. Vince stayed up too late and was so grumpy when he went to bed last night. Just screaming his head off! Today we went for a walk in the morning on campus, to the playground and to the play group which was very sparcely attended.
Hmmm, another week has pass without logging. Nothing important is happening. Vince and I are a little sick. Runny noses. Doesn’t help that we share absolutely everything. Tissues, forks, pot stickers…
