I picked up Elena at the Rhinebeck car repair shop early this morning. It was so nice to be up and out by 7:30, I was in such a good mood, I didn’t pay attention to where I was going, so I got lost on the way to Rhinebeck. Then I opened an account for Vince… We spent a good deal of time outside, I spoke with Jessica today. I thought she had lost her job, but it turns out she got another job in the same place.
Year: 2003
Today I went to see Carrie’s new Accord. Fancy, it has a navagation system that tells you how to get to different places and it has leather seats and everything. We went on errands and Vince especially loved the liquor store where they had a little cart you could drive around in…
It was forcasted to rain today and it seemed that way during the morning walk with the dogs. Jeremy and I are suffering through various brutal nights with Vince these days, so we were tired when we woke up this morning. Our plan for the day was to see the Children’s Museum and go to the Vanderbilt Mansion and walk with the doggies. It turned out to be a beautiful day, and we had a wonderful time. In the evening, we made a delicious cold avacado soup with cilantro topping. Yummy, but very rich.

Went to the Danbury Mall with Carrie. I went into the Limited and Express!
I just learned that Kim Hamad, Senior House fellow is a prof at the Mechanical Engineering Dept at MIT! Woo hoo! Today I got my snow tires taken off by Vin. I’m hoping it won’t snow anymore. Then we went to Shawn Pratt’s office to start the house buying lawyer bit. Then I came home and watched a funeral from my bedroom window.
Jeremy is still home today. He, Vince and Bob are all sick. We watched Serving Sara today with Matthew Perry and Liz Hurley. It was really, really bad.
Also the mouse problem in the house is getting much worse. Bob wants to rent some cats.
Bob, Jeremy, Vince and I and Trudi and Ruby went to Mohonk Preserve to go hiking. It was a beautiful day, clear and brisk. We walked and shared a lunch of bagel sandwiches. The tree limbs were still covered in a layer of ice and when the wind blew, they rattled against each other and made the most wonderful noise. Then we saw a wonderful German movie, Mostly Martha. I try and save all the food movies to watch with Jeremy.
