Back to nornal schedule

We came back to Richland last night and just eat too much. We went to Seattle too. Now it is the time to back to my normal routine. Old people like to have thier routines and I think I am a old person. but I had good time.

The flouers at Washowgal are doing very good. The neighbor kid kept our lawn in good condition.

The three weeks vacation was fun. Our friends said that we are just like teen-ageers. I am going to learn to put the pictures on the blog. I have down loaded to coumputer using the cable and I have figure out the next step.

In Austin..

We are now in the Omni Hotel in Austin. The flight went quite well, Jeremy took care of the kids on the flight. After the flight, we drove right to Scott and Sheila’s house and had a wonderful dinner and Vince and Edda played and played with Josh. Josh is quite looking forward to the new Star Wars movie. I think since we haven’t been watching TV, nor do we have a child of the appropriate age, I haven’t heard anything about the new movie. We’re off to breakfast soon!

In Washington DC

I was back to DC yesterday. Cutting the grass (save $25.00) and cleaning up the yard. The colleague stayed in our house fixed the pressure safety valve of the water heater. The refrigerator was bad but now it is on. Don’t know waht? After that, the colleague of ours will be back for her sister’s surgery on her lungs. And after that, our classmate will stay here for a couple of days.

Potluck Night

Tonight was potluck night at P’ng and Judy’s. They have a nice place in Lafayette (re: mega rich area) but they are just house sitting.

I get a lot of crap from the married people now about dating. Honestly, I think now if I find someone, it won’t be coming from my married friends. There’s too much pressure I feel hanging out as singles with a bunch of married people. It’s almost as if you’re being setup regardless of the fact. Somehow it didn’t feel this way when everyone was single…

Other than that, we had a big “Show a picture of your nephew” night. 3 other people had nephews that were born recently. Funny. I still think Vince is the cutest of course!

Crazy day!

After our morning hike, I took Edda to Target, where I bought provisions for our trip to Austin. Then I went back to Bright Horizons to have pizza day with Vince. I like pizza day because I get to sit down and talk with Ms. Pat about the week. She’s teaching my son his letters and numbers! Amazing.

Then I dragged the kids and the dog to Bard because our dog sitter is up at Bard and not down here in Wappingers. I took Ruby to the vet with Vince sleeping in the car with all the windows opened and Edda screaming her head off in the stroller. The vet needed to administer a kennel cough vaccine because Ruby’s going to be boarded with other doggies while we are in France. Then we went to see Eileen at Bard who had pizza (again!) in her office.

Then back home by 6 to see Jeremy and trying to pull the house in to order before we go to JFK tomorrow morning at 8 am.

This Weekend

Mom will be heading to Washougal this afternoon after work. I will be in office tomorrow and Sunday for my own staff – to practice on CAESAR II piping structural computer program. And no harm to look around for potential opportunities. The jobs in Atlanta and Denver are probably not there.

Have a nice weekend, everyone 🙂

Back from the Woods

Just got back from the forest. It was a pretty nice time there. The weather was great, and the views were pretty damn good. I was having a pretty relaxing trip for the first 5 or 6 miles or so on the way up to the peak, but then on the way down I was just booking it trying to get back to camp. My arm was exhausted and I didn’t sleep very well in the tent. This morning I got up at like 6:30 and just took off home.

For some reason or another, several people on the trail kept on asking me if my trekking poles were arrows… weird.

Emily’s visit.

Today, Vince woke up all grumpy and Emy helped out by coaxing him to eat breakfast. It was kind of a slow start to the day, but we made it to the story time at the library. Emy took some nice pictures of Vince dancing. Edda has been very fussy the past 2 days or so, just screaming and crying and arching her back. All her back teeth are coming in and I think she is in some pain.

After story time, we went to Neko for a Japanese lunch and Vince spilled a glass of orange juice and broke the glass and Edda fussed and made a mess around her high chair.

Then we went to the Barnes and Nobel and had some coffee and treats. We then headed home and the kids fell asleep.

Emy went home on the 4:50 train and we are madly eating leftovers and doing laundry to prepare for our trip on Saturday.
