It’s a beautiful, beautiful Memorial Day weekend. Hmmm.. Yesterday we went to the PFP for our veggies and then to Adams for food. Then we went to Eva’s 90th birthday party and listened to a concert. Vince fell asleep in Jeremy’s arms, we actually were all asleep at some point. Had pizza for dinner.
We spent last night at the playground. This morning, Jeremy called Taiwan and we got sobering news from Ron Rozman.
Last night we went to Eileen’s house for dinner. She had pulled out all these toys from Shannon and Lauren’s childhood. The record player with the 5 color disks. It was really nice to see her. Edda had gotten her 2-month shots earlier that afternoon and was fussy on the ride home from dinner and also during the night last night. Today I got her passport pictures taken.
Yesterday had a wonderful graduation party at the Martins. Ate migas for dinner.
Went to the Poughkeepsie Farm Project today and got spinach, lettuce, broccoli, bok choy and dandylion greens. Got mad at Vince yesterday for breaking my piano. Just lost it. I apologized to him. Ruby, the dog, is slowly being untrained. She’s eating eggs off the dining room table when we aren’t looking.
Crazy! Volvo is in the shop today. Homebound. Going to stay in my PJs all day today.
Last night, we went to Li-Hua’s house for the end-of-year Chinese drama plays. Then we had dumplings for dinner. Vince ran around like a mad man, Edda slept. Today we went to Red Hook for Edda’s 2 month shots/checkup but due to a paperwork snafu, she wasn’t insured. So we are going next week…
Well. well. well. A late night call from Taiwan through my dad’s contacts. Talk about plans turning topsy turvy. Thank goodness it’s Friday!
Went to see two houses in New Paltz. The first was a cottage for $1200 and was rented by the time we showed up. The second was a raised ranch on a quiet street about 3 miles from the center of town for $1500. We had dinner with Carla which was hectic because Vince was flying around as usual.
